JUDE/Share System Requirements

Please see the System Requirements. Hardware requirements vary according to number of JUDE files, diagram sizes, number or users and max number of concurrent requests.

What you should know before you start JUDE/Share

  • Performance of JUDE/Share changes depending on the size of JUDE files, machine specifications of both Clients and Servers and the max number of concurrent accesses.
  • Size of JUDE file to upload must be less than 10 MB. You are not able to upload any JUDE files that are more than 10 MB. Please divide the JUDE file into several files and then upload if you want to upload a JUDE file that is more than 10 MB.
  • When you upload JUDE files, memories are used for the drawing processes of diagrams in proportion to the size of length and breadth of diagrams.
  • JUDE/Share uploads only one JUDE file at one time. If you try to upload more than one JUDE file at the same time, the former one will be in the queue for registration so other JUDE files will be on a wait until the first JUDE file process completes.
  • We recommend you to take a backup regularly to avoid data loss.

Tips in order to use JUDE/Share smoothly

  • Adjust the JVM option of Tomcat to your environment
JVM option is configured in the JUDE_SHARE/startup.sh.
    Default configuration : CATALINA_OPTS="-Xms64M -Xmx512M -Xss2M"
(Initial memory pool:64MB, Maximum memory pool:512MB, Thread stack size:2MB)
  • When you upload JUDE files, do not upload them all once. After you upload one JUDE file, please wait for a bit before you upload another one. Because the most of server resources have been used to complete the first JUDE file's process.
